Hello from the Site Team For The New Travelodge in Wimbledon
We are pleased to inform you that Barnes Construction have been appointed the Main Contractor for the New 177 Bedroom Travelodge with associated retail space on the Ground Floor. Works will be Commencing In May 2020 and are currently programmed to run until Summer 2022. We will provide you with a monthly Newsletter updating you with regards to progress and upcoming works.
General update since our last letter
During the first few weeks of the project we will be carrying out the following:

Continuation of roof insulation, finishes & lifting of mechanical plant onto the roof

Continuation of 1st fix mechanical & electrical works
-
Continuation of 6th floor brickwork
-
Crane dismantled— 27th February 2022—Please not this is a Sunday & Hartfield Road will be closed for this operation

Commencement of 2nd fix carpentry
-
Commencement of cladded feature band around the building
-
Continuation of drylining across all 6 floors
-
Saturday working is likely to resume to maintain our current construction programme

Our normal working hours are:
Monday to Friday – 07:00 to 17:00
Saturdays – 08:00 to 13:00
Sundays & Bank Holidays – nonworking
Deliveries and site traffic
We will ensure that all deliveries to site are properly planned and coordinated to minimise disruption. We aim to work to co-ordinate these with everyone to minimise disruption to everyone.
