Hello from the Site Team For The New Travelodge in Wimbledon
We are pleased to inform you that Barnes Construction have been appointed the Main Contractor for the New 177 Bedroom Travelodge with associated retail space on the Ground Floor. Works will be Commencing In May 2020 and are currently programmed to run until Summer 2022. We will provide you with a monthly Newsletter updating you with regards to progress and upcoming works.
General update
Following the issue of the last newsletter, the works on site continue to progress well. Over the next month the following works will be carried out:
- Continuation of 2nd fix carpentry & electrics
- Continuation of bedroom furniture installation
- Commencement of mains services supply installations
- Completion of remaining brickwork to ground floor columns
- Progressive striking of scaffold
- Continuation of ground floor curtain wall installation
- Continuation of external cladding
- Continuation of painting & decorating

Saturdays – 08:00 to 13:00
Sundays & Bank Holidays – nonworking
Deliveries and site traffic
We will ensure that all deliveries to site are properly planned and coordinated to minimise disruption. We aim to work to co-ordinate these with everyone to minimise disruption to everyone.
