Hello from the Site Team For The New Travelodge in Wimbledon
We are pleased to inform you that Barnes Construction have been appointed the Main Contractor for the New 177 Bedroom Travelodge with associated retail space on the Ground Floor. Works will be Commencing In May 2020 and are currently programmed to run until Summer 2022. We will provide you with a monthly Newsletter updating you with regards to progress and upcoming works.
General update since our last letter
Following the issue of the last newsletter, the works on site continue to progress well. Over the next month the following works will be carried out:
- Continuation of Metsec frame installation on the 7th Floor & Roof level
- Delivery of the 7th floor bathroom PODs – These are pre-finished units that are dropped into the bedrooms
- Continuation of 2nd floor brickwork
- Concrete pour to form the roof — w/c 25th October
- Continuation of perimeter scaffold
- Commencement of 6th & 7th floor window installation
- Continuation of 2nd, 3rd & 4th floor drylining
- Weekend working is not expected to be required for the foreseeable future

Working Hours
Our normal working hours are:
Monday to Friday – 07:00 to 17:00
Saturdays – 08:00 to 13:00
Sundays & Bank Holidays – nonworking
Deliveries and site traffic
We will ensure that all deliveries to site are properly planned and coordinated to minimise disruption. We aim to work to co-ordinate these with everyone to minimise disruption to everyone.
