Hello from the Site Team For The New Travelodge in Wimbledon
Thank you for taking the time to read the 5th addition of our Newsletter. Since the last Newsletter although there is not much change in the appearance of the site the piling works have now been completed and we are now commencing the Pile Caps and Ground Beams. In total 195 Piles that are approx. 20m deep have been installed, these provide the foundations that will support the building. In total 500m3 of concrete was used to complete the piling works. The footpath on Beulah road has also been closed with a temporary footpath installed for pedestrians. The hoarding will now be completed down Beulah Road.
Upcoming Works
- Pile caps And Ground Beams—These will link the piles together to form the support for the building. n Continuation with on site Drainage Works
- Installation of initial infrastructure for the utility services.
- Installation of the Crane Base – The tower crane install is programmed for erection the later part of Jan 2021.
- Sub-Structure Block Work.
- Installation of Temporary Building Supplies

Deliveries and site traffic
We will ensure that all deliveries to site are properly planned and coordinated to minimise disruption. We aim to work to co-ordinate these with everyone to minimise disruption to everyone.
